Makk is the artistic identity of Yorkshire-based singer-songwriter David Mills-McEvoy. His music exists in the space between the intimate and the cinematic—indie folk foundations woven with experimental, lo-fi textures and ethereal atmospheres.

Working with producer and co-writer Jacob Clarke at Evoke Studio in Leeds, Makk has been shaping a sound that feels both intimate and expansive. His songs move with a quiet intensity, pairing moody vocals with lyrics that reflect on memory, identity, and the weight of lived experience —personal yet easy to connect with.

Rooted in indie dream folk but open to experimentation, his music draws inspiration from artists like Bon Iver, Thom Yorke, and Flyte.

Reflective and cinematic, Makk’s songs capture snapshots of memory and emotion—music for late nights, long walks, and everything in between.
